Pedro & Rafael

After several years of exploring different faith traditions (Zen Buddhism for Pedro; Hinduism for Rafael), we decided that it was time to return to our Judeo-Christian roots. CGCC offered us a warm and welcoming environment in which to rediscover the Christian faith.

Andrew, Ann & Kids

Coral Gables Congregational Church has been our church home for the past 9 years and we love being part of such a diverse, passionate and exciting church community. The Early Childhood Center provided a caring and nurturing pre-school experience for our three children. The music and Christian education programs continue to provide an enriching church experience for our entire family. The personal relationships that we developed through our membership at CGCC have made the church a central part of our life.

Connie and Karen

When we moved from Coral Gables to Fort Lauderdale, leaving Coral Gables Congregational Church was not an option. This is our home away from home; this is where we can be ourselves and still be included; this is where we had our union ceremony. As firewalk instructors, we guide people to move beyond their fears and realize their true potential. At CGCC you never need to fear living your truth!

Heather, Griffin & Rosa

Our beliefs are different. Our family is different. In this church, there is room for us. Our differences are not just tolerated, they are welcome. We are welcome.

Dotsy

CGCC has been my Spiritual Home for many years. Our church home provides many opportunities for continued growth and change. Beneath the seeming struggles of life, we can look with loving kindness at ourselves and others and recognize that every person has been perfectly cast to help us. I have a deep sense of respect and gratitude for my many teachers!

Will

From the very first time I stepped into Coral Gables Congregational and attended a service, I felt like I had finally found a spiritual home. For years I had struggled to reconcile my values, nurtured during the turbulent sixties and throughout my life as an artist, with the increasingly intolerant and judgmental public face of American Christianity. Frankly, I had just about written off organized religion altogether as an unnecessary evil. It didn’t seem like I could be an artist and a Christian at the same time. In CGCC, I have discovered an oasis of hope and beauty in an increasingly violent, materialistic and fundamentalist world.

Betty & Lee

Being part of CGCC means a great deal to Betty and me. We look forward to sharing the worship experience and participate, as we can, via the outreach opportunities. We are especially pleased and supportive of the recognition given to the importance of the arts. The leadership within the “total” church structure is outstanding, as reflected by the enthusiastic response given to it by the leadership.

Emily & Nancy

Throughout your life, you seek “family” through many avenues for so many reasons. . . that feeling of wholeness, belonging, nurture and unconditional love. That is what I found in every corner at Coral Gables Congregational Church. That spirit moves through me, surrounds me and fills me with joy, as I hope it does or will for my granddaughter.

Margaret, Calvin, Emily, Lisa, & Anthony

We love our church because we are welcomed just as we are and then challenged to be BETTER!

Laura & Lisa

This church has an environment that has helped us as sisters to mature into young adults. Coral Gables Congregational Church feels like home!

Jonathan

You will find me every Sunday morning at the main door greeting each and every one, especially visitors. We are an open and friendly church and we practice what we preach!
