BELOW ARE MORE ACTIVITIES OFFERED THROUGH CORAL GABLES CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH,
THESE INCLUDE SUPPORT GROUPS THAT MEET AT CGCC.
TO FIND OUT MORE, CALL THE CHURCH OFFICE AT 305.448.7421.
This committee of the church provides opportunities for church members and friends to gather together for fellowship and fun. Yearly events include: ice cream socials, potluck dinners, intergenerational campouts at Oleta Park, Peace River Canoe Trips, Marlins Baseball Games, picnics at Tropical Park, and Spirit Sunday.
All women of the church are invited to be a part of the Women’s Fellowship Group. They gather on a regular basis for fellowship, study, and support of the church.
Part of the Women’s Fellowship, the Quilter’s Guild meets every Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. – 12 noon to produce beautiful quilts all for a good cause. For the past five years, over 300 quilts (each one can take anywhere from 50 to 1000 hours to create) have been donated to Bay Point School for Boys, a local facility housing and educating at-risk teenagers. The residents must earn a quilt by exhibiting good behavior and achieving the honor roll. The Quilter’s Guild welcomes anyone wishing to participate; and they mean anyone: there is no experience necessary! Our quilters will train you!
“X-tra Years of Zest” Seniors are invited to be part of this group which provides social activities and outings. Some of the events have included: overnight trips to Orlando and Key West, dinner and theatre evenings at the Actor’s Playhouse in Coral Gables, tour of the Everglades, Christmas trip to see the Rockettes, a day cruise on the Sea Escape, and dinner and show at the Fontainebleau Hotel.
